Sunday, June 13th 2004:

Today we had to tackle the longest distance of all. Down Gudbrandsdal we reached Lillehammer. In Ringebu we visited our last stave church - this time also from inside.
The track along Lake Mjøsa is mentioned in the map as motorway, but there´s a speed limit of 70 km/h - for more than 30 kilometers..... *yawn!!*
From Hamar the street runs north-east to the Swedish border. The border in Støa can´t be noticed at all, and so we drove on over Sälenfjell and along the track of the famous Wasa race to Våmhus at Orsasjön. After more than 400 km we hired a cabin at the campsite.

On Monday we wanted to have a look at the manufacturing of the dalahäst - the little wooden ponies that became so typical for the region and in fact for all Sweden. =>
