The Little Karoo is a semi-desert but not quite as arid as its bigger sister farther to the north-east. After this extraordinary wet winter even there were greens and flowers abundant.

In the ostrich capital Oudtshoorn of course we had to visit an ostrich farm.

At Feathernest Guesthouse in Oudtshoorn we spent one night. For dinner we had some delicious ostrich steaks at renowned Jemima´s Restaurant. =>
